Our history has been written since 1833
Since 1833, at the heart of the Vosges, Garnier Thiebaut has been weaving French textile excellence. Born from the union of two passionate weavers, the House has built a unique reputation in the world of high-end hospitality linens. In Gérardmer, within its historic workshops, the company perpetuates a rare art of weaving, now appreciated by the most demanding establishments: 5-star hotels, fine-dining restaurants, palaces, and spas around the world.

Expertise and Responsible Manufacturing
Preserving the unique craftsmanship of the Vosges region
Garnier Thiebaut has always produced its linens in the heart of the Vosges. This decision ensures mastery of dyeing, weaving, finishing, manufacturing, and embroidery techniques, as well as complete traceability.
Nearly 75% of our employees are recruited locally and trained in-house, ensuring the transmission of expertise specific to our trades. Our production is also recognized by the Vosges Terre Textile and France Terre Textile labels, which certify that at least three-quarters of the manufacturing processes are carried out in the Vosges or in France.
Transparency and Certifications
Our commitment to sustainability is reinforced by several certifications:
ISO 14001 for our environmental management,
ISO 9001 for our organizational structure and the quality of our processes,
ISO 50001 for our energy performance,
and “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant,” which recognizes and promotes renowned French industrial expertise.
These certifications attest to a structured, measurable, and sustainable commitment.
Committed and Trustworthy Partners
To respond to our clients’ requests for proposals, particularly those from abroad, we have had to adapt our procurement processes to incorporate products that we do not manufacture ourselves, as certain types of expertise are not available in France. We therefore draw on international expertise by carefully selecting specialized partners around the world. Each supplier signs our Responsible and Ethical Procurement Charter, committing to comply with our standards regarding quality, social responsibility, and environmental protection.
We ensure that these commitments are upheld at every stage of production through regular audits and close collaboration with our partners.
This openness to international expertise also allows us to respond quickly to the specific needs of our customers around the world, combining flexibility, quality, and responsibility.

Sustainable Products
and Upcycling
Textiles Designed to Last
Our linens are designed to withstand heavy use: repeated laundry cycles, high turnover, and the operational demands of the hospitality and restaurant industries. From fiber selection and weaving to finishing and care testing, every step is focused on durability and quality.
Reuse Instead of Throwing Away
Our teams develop practical solutions to reduce textile waste: upcycling programs (turning yarn and fabric scraps into new items), regular donations of products or materials to local organizations, and the establishment of charitable partnerships that give clothing a second life.
Projects are also being carried out in partnership with Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque, Pour un Sourire d’Enfant, Les Blouses Roses, the Notre-Dame Foundation, and various local cultural and social initiatives.

Human Resources
Strong local roots
Garnier Thiebaut has always been committed to preserving jobs in the Vosges and promoting the region.
Our teams—seamstresses, weavers, finishers, designers, and technicians—embody the richness of a vibrant and shared French tradition of craftsmanship.
A respectful and inclusive work environment
Our commitments put people first: workplace equality, diversity, quality of life at work, and skills development.
We are committed to ensuring the health and safety of our employees and to maintaining an environment of trust and respect.

Environment
Reducing Our Impact
in Our Daily Lives
Our factories, located in the heart of the Vosges countryside, are at the center of an active environmental initiative. We are taking steps to reduce our environmental footprint through: our on-site wastewater treatment plant, the generation of green energy using our own turbine (up to 20% of our needs), the installation of 575 solar panels, the recovery of heat from the looms to heat our facilities, the introduction of more than 750,000 bees at our sites—a sign of a healthy environment—responsible textile innovation projects, and the creation of a 100% plant-based laundry detergent designed to reduce the environmental impact of washing.
